how do i change the injectors in my 2.7 td jeep cherokee?

first : before you start you must have and maintain a surgically clean environment including the engine compartment and engine itself .
second : the cherokee diesel engine is a 2.1 litre renault unit.
third : remove fuel injection lines at injector pump and injectors [use a short 17 mm wrench] next remove the push on jump hoses[these usally break when disturbed so obtain 5-6 feet of jump hose from your closest mercedes dealer] then use 30 mm deep six point socket to remove injectors then remove the glow shield /seals with a small magnet or brush [be sure to install new ones] these can still be obtained from a winnibago dealer [the le-sharo line of motorhomes used this engine] torque new injectors to 55 ft lbs and re install the fuel lines note the torque on line fittings is only 18-22 ft. lbs. and install the new jump hoses. TIP; leave the fuel line fittings loose at the injectors and crank over until you see fuel spritzing out at each injector then tighten fittings and start engine good luck these wern't horrible engines just make sure that the timing belt is properly changed at the proper intervals [60k] by someone who has the proper tools and training.
