I don't know why some consider it forgotten. Maybe it's because it was shorter than World War II or Vietnam, about 3 years. However there are constant reminders. We still have troops along the DMZ. North Korea has certainly been in the news a lot lately. Plus the war was the back drop of a TV series for 11 years, followed by endless reruns.

I think it was because it was the one war that was not really supported by the people yet looking back at WW1 & WW2 it was also conciderd a defeat to an extent that is the only thing I can think of and if I affended any vets my appologies

How often do you think about war? when you think about war it is usually WWII or vietnam. Korea is a inconvinient in between where we neither won or lossed. My opinion, probably better answers out there.
