I am 23 and I have developed feelings for a girl 6 years younger than me, we have common interests. should i go ahead and ask her out or leave it be?

I can understand the attraction.......but, I don't see any positive reasons to pursue this relationship. She is still a girl in many ways ( even if she doesn't look like one). I would leave this one alone.

Thats illegal in some states... check your states legal age of consent some states it's 16, others are 18.
