Smear the inside of the pan with butter or shortening (or even cooking spray like PAM), and add a little powdered sugar. rotate the pan so the sugar coats the entire inside, then dump out what's left.

Now the cheesecake should come right out.

You can use the same technique for other dishes. If it's savory, like cheese fondue, use flour; if it's sweet use powdered sugar.

Line the pan with parchement paper. You can get it at the grocery store, it is by the wax paper, foil and stuff like that. Comes in a box on a roll.
