I sprinkle a little baby powder into my hand, then apply it to my roots and toussle my hair to blend it in. If baby powder would look unnatural in your darker hair, I believe some companies make hair powder in different shades. Also, you might want to reevaluate what straightening products you are using in your hair- these might be what is making your hair look greasy so soon after you wash it.

What products are you using?

It isn't good to straighten your hair every day - it damages your hair and makes it even frizzier! If you can, only straighten it on special occasions. The rest of the time you can get some of the curl out by washing it at night and sleeping with it in a bun. You'll end up with waves instead of frizz and curls.

If you're using any kind of silicone-based product (look at the ingredients - if anything ends in "-cone" then it is a silicone), it builds up on your hair and can weigh it down and make it look greasy. Use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of the buildup, and a silicone-free conditioner.

shampooing your hair everyday helps stop the secretion of oil. i would recommend buying either MOP basil mint shampoo or Clynol therapy dual active shampoo. these are great for greasy hair.

If you use any gel, hair spray, or other hair stuff when you straighten your hair, don't. this will help keep your hair looking less greasy.
