It comes down to how us and the other species would interfere with each other. If we are competing for resources, it probably would lead to conflict. If not, I don't see why there would be any problem since we coexist with plenty of species already.

I don't think so. Man is a jealous and wary species. I doubt we are evolved enough to tolerate sharing a world where we are the inferior being.
