A few days ago, I posted a request on here for prayer for my dad. The CT scan he had done showed a mass on his pancreas- he's been extremely sick for a few weeks now. I'm trying to remain positive until we get the biopsy results, but honestly, I'm terrified. I've been praying constantly- and I'd like other believers to pray too, if you would. This is one of the hardest situations I've been faced with- I don't want my parents to know how worried I am- they're trying to remain positive, too. I wish I had someone to talk to, but my husband is (I hate to say this) being a jerk about it. His mom had cancer about 10 years ago (she had surgery and is doing great now). Everytime I try to talk to him about how I feel, his response is "Well, now you know how I felt when my mom was sick." I've stopped trying to talk to him- I just roll over in the bed at night and cry until I fall asleep.

I'm a parent, so I feel like I should be handling this better, but it just really scares me to think about losing my father. If you would, please pray for my father and my family. Thankyou for your time.

Thanks to all- with the exception of John H. I'll take the Bible over your common sense any day. I'd guess you are the one who gave all of these nice folks a thumbs down.

In the future- if you don't agree with my post, simply ignore it.

God will not bring you to something that He wont' bring you through. Pray for strengh that can only come from Him. Make sure that your father is born again and has Jesus in his life. If he does not, then introduce him to Jesus today.

Father,

I lift up this family to Your for healing, comfort, strength, guidance and Your love. What ever the reason You are placing this on them, help them to know that You have a purpose for this, and that all things happen for Your glory in life. I praise You and give You all the glory for the healilng that takes place according to Your perfect will and time. in the precious name of Jesus, amen

I will gladly pray for you and dad. My father died of lung cancer, so I can understand where you are coming from. As to your husband, hmmm. I am a man, and I would NOT do that to my wife. That is discourteous and plain old mean. Sure, his mother recovered, but he should be more understanding when it comes to your dad.If he isn't, are you positive he is "the" one?I don't like to make trouble for any marriages, but it already sounds (to me) like yours is heading for trouble.Anyway, if you need someone to talk to

The loss or impendign loss of a loved one is always hard to comprehend much less to "deal with". You know you can always take comfort in God and realize that a person who is in pain is always better off in God's hands than being made to stay here to satisfy our own (extremely normal) selfishness to keep them with us. That said though I will certainly be praying for you and your family as you go through this time of uncertainty and pain.

a captivating sentiment. i believe in helping others and that i do %. up food donations for a food pantry. i will make a donation and picture approximately different techniques i will make a contribution. i could be too uncomfortable in maximum circumstances to take a homeless individual in my homestead (except it replaced into an severe emergency or I had some expertise of the guy) yet I do attempt to be slightly of helping others. thank you.

Father God,in the name of Jesus, I ask for not only salvation but also physical healing for my sister's dad. I believe that you are much larger than the threat of pancreatic cancer, please have mercy,God. I also pray for your peace to overshadow my sister's mind personally as well as in her marital situation. I pray for supernatural comfort in this family.

ps I also ask for signs of encouragment from you for she and her family. Please hear the many petitions for this family----because you have paid the price,I ask in faith believing.---

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and
know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

My prayers are with you
God Bless you and your family

Done.
I also prayed that your husband will reconnect to his emotions and feel, and thereby communicate better with you at this trying time. (If I may be so bold.)
Spiritually and practically,
yours in R&S,

Unfortunately, prayers are never answered. They are just wishes. You could have everyone in the world praying for you and it would make no difference.

Instead, look to your family for support, and your doctors for medical care. Good luck.
