If you are looking for living people, I would say none... otherwise there is free info at ancestry.com and genealogy.com :o)

I'm still missing one of my great grand fathers on the tree. It's funny I know the rest after him and before him. Go pay the money to a pro. that has a license in that area. I had a old friend's mom that used to do that. I guess she got bored and did my tree and didn't tell me. I never asked bec I already knew 90% of my tree. She couldn't believe someone the people I was related too. She kept staring at me after wards for like an hour. Then said I was related to her or husband. I would give you her number but we lost contact 6 yrs ago.

Hi, my sister is researching our family tree which is pretty cool and she has found that there are no free websites that are decent. But she did find a software programme that gave her free access to some of the pay for sites however this is for a limited period of time. I know you can buy it from amazon but forget the name of the package!

Try a search engine and type in "Family Tree" They should give you a few possibilities. You might have to pay for it. So try typing "Free Family Tree"

Hi.
Before you start subscribing to family tree type websites, nip down to your local big bookshop and check out their genealogy section. Also, your local city council may have info to point you in the right direction. Prior to that, start talking to all your old relatives and get as much info from them before they either forget or die. It sounds cold hearted, but they'll understand. Good luck if you go for it- I've found three relatives who fought (two died) at the battle of Waterloo, and our family is indirectly related to Henry VIII. Bizarre......

None are free but ancestry is about the best, you can use the index free. It covers most of the world. It has only just started doing scotland though. Best site for there is scotlandspeople.gov.uk

You know friends reunited? Well if you go into that site, there is a shoot-off site called "Genes Reunited" & u can start looking into your family tree on there.
