None. God's current role in humanity is to serve as a focus point for people's superstitions. However, I don't see that as a necessary role. We really don't need such superstition. The world would be a better, and more peaceful place without religion.

The belief in God is a way for the mind to grow.
It's a powerful way for the mind to externalize perfection and then try to emulate that perfection or at least what it thinks that perfection would want from it.

He cannot interfear with our own personal choices but he can controll everything around us as well as our health and when we die.
He has no controll over our decisions but he can make it so we only have one real one.
