Remember back when, there was outright racism; unfair treatment of Negoes, mostly in the South? How it was changed?
Will all the negativity concerning illegal immigration cause hatred, malice and descrimination for illegals (mostly Mexican) yet again in this country? 90% of Americans are angry about the illegal influx, where will this anger be placed, particularly if current illegals are given "amnesty" or a form of amnesty?

siervocal: Highly unfair that legal, Latin immigrants and Americans are catching Hell simply because of illegal Mexican entry and so on. Yet another horror perpetrated on the US by illegal immigration. My sympathies to those law abiding, legal citizens of Latin origin, so treated.

Mendi: the issue is not enslavement I focus on; but rather the dstructive emotion of hatred of any other being ...for whatever reason. (Though Mexicans ARE kind of enslaved when they come here. We pay them very little, and take care of them from health care to education. Similar to Southerners treatement of their slaves, back when?)

Zak, when the illegals become in the majority and even now in some areas they are the majority, America will cease to exist as we all have come to know it. It will become a socialist country (like Mexico) and will in many ways become exactly like Mexico in it's worst aspects.

DJ: We feel your pain. Yes, with groups like LaRaza and Mecha (their motto: For Latins everything, for all others; NOTHING!) leading the way, there very likely will be bloody civil war. Just what we all need here in the USA currently.

mien: If citizenship of any kind is offered to reward the criminal behvior or so many they will legally be citizens here and in that sense, like the AfroAmer. be subject to treatment under the law, the same as the rest with all rights intact ...or maybe not. Perhaps they will be treated even better than the average, native born or legal immigrant Amer. (They are treated better now!) The anger will be extreme. Where will that anger go to find a home? Not a pretty thought.

Giving amnesty to millions of racists (sure not all of them but too many are) who are being taught to hate us is a bad idea. I can't begin to imagine what will happen to this country if that occurs. Civil war, maybe? And why should anybody bother following the law if illegals are rewarded for breaking it? I am tired of being a second class citizen in my own country, as are many others. I am also worried about Hispanic Americans being treated badly because of this situation. There are quite a few in my family, and I don't want my fellow citizens looking at them like they are border hoppers. Send the border hoppers home!

So, you lobby to have the laws duly enforced, the border with Mexico duly and effectively patrolled, and get your state legislature on the job in terms of blocking out your state's approach to the problem....I think public involvement is important, as important as public awareness. There IS a problem with illegal immigration, and it needs to be addressed, and it's not just in the United States, either, it's global....there's something like 6 times as many people in the world today as there were about 100 years ago, I was reading that they said that the 1 billion mark was reached earlier than I thought, they place it at the mid 1800's or so, but still the jump from 1.5 to 6.6 billion in a century flat is pretty astounding...more countries have to come up with ideas to do things that'll stabilize their populations, and provide for their own people...

Bear in mind the world is not the same place as it was then nor are any the people from way back then still here. The civil rights were done by legal residents. That shows if they can face that pressure from here. Why cannot the same people protest do changes in their own country they certainly have enough money to make Mexico a better country. To take take away any responsibility Mexico with beig corrupt. The new wave of talking is why should Mexico never have to accept any responsibility. That a direct result of why Mexico's people are leaving. Mexico is not doing enough to have a country. Theit best answer to have a bette5r life look is to look to American for help;

You say we need to work harder, seems you pro-illegals are the ones trying to work harder at spreading lies and your racist propaganda. How many times have you asked this same question. The laws are being enforced, so who are the ones who should be scared. It isn't us. We won't be getting deported. We support justice, illegals do not and neither do these pro-illegal supporters or illegals would receive the justice they deserve for breaking the law. You are so wrong. The vast majority of Americans are AGAINST illegal aliens and any form of amnesty. Why do you think more than 20 states want to follow in Arizona's foot steps and remove you illegals. Of course we know you are only interested in mexicans from your other rants and how you have put down cubans and others. Mexican immigrants do have civil rights and do not need amnesty. mexican illegals deserve NOTHING.

Short answer - Yes. Anger is simply an emotion and not very relevent.
The easy solution to our immigration problem is to deploy landmines around our entire border. It's probably the cheapest solution and effective. We also need tough laws. If an illegal is caught without proper papers they are returned to mexico if they can pay the fee for transport. If not they are enslaved until payment can be made. If they cause any problems they are shot immediately.
Sounds harsh but this is really what we need. Probably can't get to this unless we move to a more facist state without our current constitution in place. What's the probability of a revolution to make this happen? Not too likely until things get worse.

These are certainly scarey times, for sure! However, I sincerely hope that amnesty is not given this time around because it will only compound the illegal immigration problem tenfold, even more so than the past amnesty's did! Deport them all, build the fence, secure the borders, then fix immigration.

why do they use the black civil rights movement to justify them being here illegally. that is completely different. the black people had no where to go and be citizens. the Mexicans from Mexico have some where to go. they would not want to go there with a civil rights movement. they have no rights they are here illegally.

Well, the African Americans were already citizens and were entitled to all rights and privileges as Americans. Illegal aliens don't have the same claim.

The biggest difference with the Black movement and the illegal movement is citizenship.
The Black American was and is a member of this nation...an American Citizen.
The Illegal is just that...and most have no allegiance to the USA, they only come here for what they can take...

Here we go again. America - a big racist nation. So what is going to happen when white people are no longer the majority? It is not that far away. Who will everybody blame all their problems on then?
