She's probably not 'obsessive' compulsive and the spay probably did not go wrong.
Humping is often a dominance issue. When she does it, a firm "no" and a squirt of water can help to control it.

That particular act is a show of dominance and will continue whether she is spayed or not. It is not something to worry about and frankly, if she was indeed spayed, she can hump all she wants, the parts are no longer there to do anything about it. Don't worry about it, she, like all dogs-male or female-will always be doing that particular maneuver to show dominance over other dogs. You should be prepared for a fight more than anything else. Good luck!!! DOGS RULE!!

humping is not always sexual, especially for dogs that have been neutered or spayed. it's a dominance issue and most likely, she considers your dad to be beneath her in the pack hierarchy. which is strange, because most family dogs i've worked with have been most submissive to the fathers. but just tell your dad not to let her do it and if she tries, to say "no" in a deep voice (no yelling necessary) and loom over her and stare in the manner of a pack leader until she backs down. a few times of this should really make a difference.

It's absolutely a dominance issue. She's trying to establish her place in the hierarchy as being above your dad. That would be a bad thing.
The thing that has always worked for my dogs (all girls, all spayed, and they still try) is a firm "Off!" and just gently push them down to the floor.

"humping" is a dominance behavior, not necessarily a sexual behavior. I would take this to mean that she hasn't fully accepted your dad as having a higher (more dominant) position in your "pack" and he may have to make sure he asserts himself (gently) with her.
If you do a websearch for the title "nothing in life is free" it is a great training protocall where the dog has to earn affection, food etc, but it's not a negative program... only positive, and it can help both dominant personalities and fearful personalities. Look into it for your dog.

No its not a spay gone bad, but just because she's been
fixed doesn't mean the urge is gone, its a natural habit,
but try to distract her when you catch her in the act to
break her if this habit.

No, she is just bored. Walk her more often and give her some toys to play with.
Correct her humping people by telling her NO firmly and removing her to a specified time out place.

They all do this: male and female.
Give her more exercise. Take her on long walks. She my have some hormones going on right now too but that will subside.
