I've seen a fair amount of footage on the war in Iraq, on the internet. Most soldiers seem to have the M-4 carbine, or a SAW automatic Rifle. Anything else you can think of?

The modern weapons include M-16 rifles, all sorts of gadgetry like night vision and radios and GPS units, (though not enough body armor)
Also, M1-A2 Abrams Tanks. Computer target locks. Depleted Uranium shells (illegal under international law, BTW)

Unmanned spy drones equipped with hellfire missiles. State of the Art Fighters and bombers. Hi tech helicopters.

there's a lot of high tech gear over there. Not like it's doing us much good- it's not the gear that wins wars, apparently. we had the tech edge in 'Nam too.

Benelli m-4 shotgun. My mother got deployed with a vietnam era m-16, although the auto feature was disabled, still had burst though. She also had a flak jacket. Father went to Afghanistan with a service pistol, full body armor though. M-14 is making an appearance again, many soldiers ditched their issue weapon for the Ak-47 because it can go full auto. 50 caliber machine gun is on a lot of hummers, as well as a rapid firing grenade launcher. I have seen tow-missiles also attached to hummers.

More gadgets than you can count. Want to narrow that down to, say, personal firearms? You'll still get a pretty long list.
