Not all men like blondes. If I wasn't a natural blonde who hates hair dye I'd love to be brunette. I always personally go for dark hair, I think it's beautiful and has less potential for tackiness. It's personal taste.
However I read that blonde hair can equal innocence and a man may want to protect a blonde girl. Which could be BS, no idea. :]
As a white girl in a heavily white/blonde country I am attracted to dark hair and skin and blonde hair does nothing for me. I think opposites attract with genes. And there are more dark coloured people in the world, so maybe they go for blondes more because its so different from their own genes. I got quite a reaction in Turkey and I was only 14. Shudder!

It is a social invention designed to make the northern races popular because pale skin is not attractive so pale hair has been promoted as being so.
In fact blonde hair distracts from the real beauty of a womans face. Hence women can be seen as attractive purely because of the colour of their hair, whereas women with darker hair are judged for their true beauty whether it is their face, their skin, or any one of a million other reasons to love a woman.

dunno...its really weird. i am a natural brunette but took the plunge and went blonde...most of my girl mates said i looked prettier with dark hair...but i definately get more male attention as a blonde! there's the old theory that blondes are more fun but brunettes are genuinely nicer and more intelligent...i think i am all of the above! lol young blokes seem to hold the view that dark haired lasses are quite strong and independent and scare them whereas blondes are easier to get into bed! god knows why...i dont believe thats true...but hey men r a law unto themselves! bless em!

I think that really is a not really true,that goes back to the blond bimbo,a little bit DUrrrrrr,but these days men regard blonds brunets red heads all on par to one another

Apparently people are attracted to blonde's because it represents youth. A child's hair is usually lighter.

This is easy. Most guys are dark...dark skin, dark hair and dark clothing(and they live in dark places, work in dark places, and hang out in dark places). Everything in a guys life is dark, cool colors and grey and brown. Look around where any guy is, you don't see much warm, bright color.
So blondes, being a warm, bright color attract the drab, dull guys.

i don't think it is really about the colour of the hair but the old saying that blondes have more fun....i have fun (am blonde)but so can the next brunette or red head so get out there and have fun! if they see you enjoying yourself they'll want to join you.... get partying girlie!!!!! GOOD LUCK!
