There are two contradictory things in religion as far as homosexuality is concerned.

God supports love, but he discourages homosexuality. So let's suppose that homosexuality would only involve an emotional relationships with no sexual aspects. Since the sexual aspect represents the sin and not the love, would homosexuality be considered a sin in that case too? Why or why not?

Then explain, people! Don't just point out my mistakes.

I know God created the male to be a male, but can't you people think on your own? I'm not asking for Bible quotes. You support whatever the Bible says without looking into it. I want explanations.

Why is homosexuality still considered a sin if it only involves love and love is a noble feeling regardless of its gender or age?

Being homosexual is not a sin any more than being heterosexual is a sin. What is sinful is how that love is expressed. It is not a sin to be emotionally attracted to someone of the same sex.

True love doesn't have to do with sex, but that's not what's involved in homosexuality. A homosexual "emotional" relationship still would be on the same order as one that's physical.

I dont believe that God discourages love at all. Love between the same sex can be very strong and very affectionate and still not be sexual. David loved Jonathan more than a brother. Jesus loved John and held him to his chest. This doesnt mean any of them were gay, but they loved strongly.

Just a little personal thought of mine if I may.... if it was never made to seem to be a "bad" thing for men and women to be loving and affectionate to eachother, we probably wouldnt just lable ourselves "gay/lesbian" when we have strong love for the same sex.

People can put God and his commamdments above everything, even marriage for sex.

Putting God and Christ first is what it is all about, to represent them.

Many people disregard sex altogether to be devoted in representing God and Christ.

yes he would. I feel that if god intended 4 people to be homosexual he would have created only males, or only females.

Sin is not just an action - it is also how you deal with temptation. Your very thoughts can be sinful.
