One reason is knowledge. Will we sit in the dark and not explore what is out there?

Space can also grant us with materials that we need here on Earth. The sun is a giant energy supply, and we can use minerals we mine when Earth's natural resources are gone. If we keep destroying the Earth, Space could be our only salvation.

The offshoots also benefit humans. Thousands of people have been saved by the intensive care units that were pioneered by astronauts.

How can we not explore these places?

The benefits are huge. Knowledge is always a good thing in and of itself. But if you are looking at practical outcome, can you think of anyone that has a job now that they would have had without a computer?

The old argument always comes up; Why spend millions on space? The truth is that the money does not get spent in space. The jobs are here on the ground.

The other argument you will hear is why not spend the money on problems we have here? Do you think if we drop the whole NASA program that all that money will suddenly go to feeding people? I have watched billion after billion being spent on the war in Iraq. I don't get anything out of THAT. But what we learn from the other planets in the solar system might give us the information we need to undo some of the damage we are doing to our own planet.

That aside, study initially funded lower than the area software has contributed to mainstream technologies and carry about advances interior the clinical container which has kept distinct lives. those who say the area software is a waste of taxpayer money are those who've of route by no skill somewhat appeared into the remember and picture this is not some thing more advantageous than human beings spending billions of bucks to floar around the Earth some situations and look at quite stars.

In my opinion there is no sense in it, Its a waste of time and money. We should focus about the problems we have here , on the earth and not worry about space. Let's worry about our problems first.
