Science, of course. Science answers How but not Why. But I don't need to know Why in order to live an interesting and effective life -- How is quite sufficient. Carl Sagan said, If you want your life to have significance, do something significant. And that works for me. As for the details of How, we have evolution (a proven fact), astrophysics, physics, chemistry, and many other tools to tell us the history of the universe, the solar system, the earth, and the life upon it.

while the long answer could take pages, the short answer is this. god or no god i would live my life the same. understanding life is a mixture of science and feeling. i can marvel at the beauty of a river, lake, or woods no matter how it came to be. as for the hereafter... i'll deal with one plane of existance at a time

Who says I need one. Life is a remarkable thing and I'm happy with that without asking questions to which I could never find the answers.

Logic, investigation, evidence.
There is no logical conclusion that god created the universe. In fact, that would be a most illogical conclusion, as the existence of an all-powerful being who for some reason demands we worship him or he will condemn us for eternity is so bizarre as to be laughable.

Why do you think there is a reason for everything? Sometime's things happen for no reason at all.
I have a question for you.
If God made everything who made God?
Explain that!!

I'll have to go with science. God doesn't do much to explain life

Prove it. If it is so true and obvious, show me, otherwise accept that without proof your views are fiction.
