You are so totally true! They don't want to be responsible and afraid of rules.

maybe that's true for some...

i believe what we are really denying or arguing is the DEFINITION of God.

i don't believe in a benevolent angry God with human characteristics- (like even using the pronoun "him" is a misunderstanding) a father figure that judges us- sends some to hell and allows others into heaven. that's a very limited perception of God.

I believe that God is the Process of life itself, the energy that gives life to all things, rotates the planets, spins the galaxies, and makes your heart beat. the Supreme, being. God is also the collective of everything, there is nothing that God is not. Omnicient, Omnipresent, Eternal. there is so much to God- God can't be completely defined here. looking at it from this perspective- noone can "deny" God. God simply is. whether you are aware of it or not- it makes no difference.

Conscious awareness gives you the power to create, and experience Life to the fullest, but it doesn't mean that those who are unaware of the presence of God are not a part of this magnificent process, included in the will of God. it really is all how you choose to see it. and that's the beauty of free will.

It maybe true but at the same time some people dont want to belive because there are thinking proud. They may like the exaltation of people more than to humble theirself to exalt somebody else. so there are Perhaps lot of reasons why people deny Gods existance but your reason is one of the usual reasons. If Ill put a list for the reasons from 1 till 10 your reason will be the one who get the mark 8

False. At least in my case, I can't answer for others.

As an ex-Christian I have squarely faced the issue of the existence or non existence of God. No ducking the question was possible. No ducking the responsibility either. (As I read my bible if I'm wrong God gives me points for honesty and then I go to hell.)

False. I act as if I was accountable for my deeds after my death, but not because I am afraid I might be wrong and I might be judged after my death, but because this is what my own concience tells me. For me it is sad to know that there are people who can't imagine that you can live by morals without the fear of punishment. These people must have a very weak belief in their morals if they imagine someone would just throw them all away just because he is not afraid of being punished after death.

I tend to agree, but I believe people who deny the existence of God may also have an issue with being accountable to Him in life - not just after death.

Still, I believe it's a combination of life experiences that can result in whether we ultimately come to believe or not believe in the existence of God. I'm just thankful my personal life experiences have led me not only to God, but to having a full and rich relationship with Him.

Obviously false.

People deny the existence of God for the same reason that we deny the existence of flying lime-green elephants.

One thing I've learned from being here on Y!A is how weak faith is among Christians in general, as so many of them are so afraid of being wrong that they insist on these desperately delusional false claims about the motivations of nonbelievers. If you had any faith at all in your God, you would be able to freely admit the obvious - that there is no evidence for the existence of a God and therefore that it is perfectly reasonable, rational, and moral to be an atheist.

If you can admit that, and still believe in your God, you have true religious faith. I think that you're wrong, but I respect you. But if your belief in God is such that you have to bear such false witness against nonbelievers to defend your belief to yourself, you must be utterly lacking in faith.

only the religious people say true, and you are in no position to answer for someone because you will not understand what goes through someone else's mind

i say false, if there was a god, it wouldn't hold you accountable for not acknowledging it, it would hold you accountable for being a horrible person and i think narrow-mindedness falls under being a horrible person

i'd rather believe that life isn't just a test, that's is why i doubt god

People who deny the existence of God do so for one of two reasons. The first is because they believe themselves too smart and too sophisticated to believe in what they consider to be... fairy tales.

The second reason that people deny the existence of God is so that they will do what they will.

False. People deny the existence of god for lack of evidence, and because the concept is provably useless.

People probably deny His existence for the same reason as others assert it.
