All books are handy when it comes to improving your spelling. The more words you read, the more your mind realizes what a correctly spelled word is, and you'll remember how to spell it.

Any book, or even newspapers are good. Dictionaries and stories, novels etc. are good choices too.

You could play the online games such as Text Twist or Bookworm (there are many, many others). You can play them as single-player. You could play Literati, but you'd drive the other players nuts with your slow play.
