my wife and i are going to my mother's house christmas eve and she asked me to make something to have with a prime rib roast and i can' t think of anything that would go with it

Anything with potatoes, sweet potatoes, root vegetables, winter squashes, vegetables like green beans, asparagus, brussel sprouts, or green salads would be good with roast.

Twice baked potatoes are good and travel easily. Also, garlic mashed potatoes.

Pretty much everything goes with prime rib!

In the superstore, fruits are usually selected much too soon. Some are rocks, many are wrong. Some of the fresh vegetables are generally right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.
