Would it be OK to give a small gift to your therpist? Kind of a thank you for the help he/she has given you through the year. Or is there some rule against that? Thanks.

I'm fairly certain that there's no rules against it. Nothing too extravagant but a plate of baked goods or candy would be a nice way of showing your appreciation.

I personally think that would be fine. I mean, it's just the same as giving a teacher a Christmas gift as a child. I don't know if there is a rule against it, but logically I think it would be fine.

If not, you could just write a heartfelt note that said thank you. An honest letter can be better than a gift in some cases : )

Sure it is... just make sure it's a small token or your appreciation.. not some big expensive gift that could be taken the wrong way...

I guess it varies...but I don't see anything wrong with say, a nice certificate for a dinner with his/her spouse say?...I am not sure if there is a rule sorry..but a nice thought.

i think your subconscience mind is trying to test your therapist, to see how professional he/she is. He/she is a therapist and they will already know that, and highly likely he/she won't accept it anyway.
