Whats silly about it, at least she cares, if someone in your family had cancer and someone wanted to help you wouldn't think it was silly

If you want to help with aids and cancer for a living, do pre-med in college and go from there.
For now, you can run in marathons to help raise money for research, or buy merchandise to support it.
