It doesn't say "sweet free". It is sweetened with products other than sugar.

Here's some info on all this sweetener stuff everyone is talking about above me...

Sugar is better for you, but only in small quantities. Aspartame is one of the worst sweeteners you could use. When it is broken down by the body it actually forms formaldehyde. You are actually embalming your body a little bit at a time.

Splenda is just as bad as Aspartame. It is actually made with chlorine! I don't know about you, but I wouldn't ingest something I use for cleaning and laundry!

Stevia (Sweet Leaf) is probably best to use. This herb is so sweet you only need to use a little bit. Too bad the FDA won't approve it. They're only interested in lining their pockets.

Misleading information designed to trick people into buying (and eating) products that they would otherwise avoid.

There are various types of sweeteners. Some may be more harmful to the body than sugar, and others may actually be somewhat beneficial to the body... but either way, "Sugar Free" does not mean "Without Sweetener."

Because the products are sweetened with artificial sweeteners such as Splenda that have no calories but taste as sweet or sweeter than sugar does.

They probably use an artificial sweetener, like Splenda or Aspartame. These are chemicals that taste sweet but can't be broken down and stored by the body - they pass right through you without adding any calories to your diet!

It's because they can use an articificial sweetener (which causes cancer) and be able to claim it's sugar free (but they don't warn you that the artificial sweetener causes cancer). It's lilke the tuna canners being able to claim they are dolphin-free because they bought the tuna from a broker who DID kill dolphins....

chances are there is an artificial sweetener or sugar substitute in it to make it sweet

sometimes fruit juices or unsweetened applesauce is used instead of sugar or artificial sweeteners

it depends, sometimes fruity stuff will be naturally sweet and they don't count that as added sugar. Or they could add sugar substitutes like Splenda or even honey and not count that as sugar

Splenda (maltodextrin & sucralose), aspertame and sacchrine are all sweet but not sugar and do not have calories or carbs
