I took a pack of matches and pulled one out of the pack and closed it up and turned it over and striked the match and lit my cigarette. when I blew the match out and placed it in the ashtray the entire pack ignited still being held in my hand and I freaked as to what cause it and the get this...all, but one match all burned. I am baffled here any thoughts??/

If anybody has a real good explanantion as to what happened I would kindly like to hear it, but as for now it remains a mystery. If it was a spark, it would of ignited right away not wait till I light my cigarette and blow the match out and place it in the ashtray. This is spooky stuff that has happened to me and not the first time. The other time it was a sporot that appeared to me...read mypage called the The Fog it is a true story

Neither, A piece of phosphorus flew off as you struck the match and went inside the cover. It took a couple of seconds to ignite either because the matches are old and has moisture content in it. This is most likely. Moisture causes the phosphorous to smolder until the heat removes the moisture and voila. Flame.
Or possibly there was moisture on your fingers and you touched the matches before lighting your cig.

Why would a devil be interested in burning a pack of matches?
What did the devil and his minions need a cigarette too?
Come on get real.
All I could say is the flame from the first match could've caused the other matches to catch. I would need to know the position of the first match in relation to the pack and the direction of wind. Any portion of flame touch the other match heads could easily cause them to catch.
The fact that one didn't catch could just be random chance and nothing special! In short there is a rational explaination for EVERYTHING!

It is called Spontanious Combution (i spelt it wrong). Is a a very natural phenomena. It happens thousands of times each year in the US alone. Just be careful. I dout the devil had anything to do with it.
