If you don't like big cities forget Toronto its one of the biggest. Calgary is also quite large a smaller cities to look at are Regina Saskatchewan, and Saskatoon Saskatchewan. They are much smaller than all the others listed. I currently live in regina its not bad. I prefered living in Prince Albert Saskatchewan which was a nice city as it bordered a forest. It depends on what you want to seee. Calgary is nice as it is close to the National Parks

Big cities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc are fairly expensive to live in. You might want to look at a smaller city outside of the large ones, you will save a lot more money but still be relatively close to the big cities if you want to visit them. Try Mississauga or Kitchener-Waterloo, which are fairly close to Toronto. I think K-W are two very wonderful cities. It also depends on what kind of area you're looking for. City life? Urban, rural? Nice landscapes? You could also try somewhere up a little further in Northern Ontario (Sudbury, North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, which all do have French-Canadian influences). They are smaller cities but are beautiful and friendly and still have plenty of things to do. I would not recommend a city like Elliot Lake, which has a large retired community, or larger cities that I mentioned earlier because to live there is very expensive. You could also look around in Quebec since you speak fluent French, outside of Montreal or in Quebec City.

Toronto!
Seriously. It's fantastic there. Theres a bit of everything.
You've got the GO train and subway if you want to go to work or musem or whatever your doing. Then you've got thousands of jobs to choose from there. Toronto is big, but doesn't mean you have to travel the whole thing.
If you don't like snow though.... don't come in the winter time!
Take care.

Toronto is a great city...so many different things to do and cultures to learn about. I would move there in a second if I had a bit more money. Good luck on your search though!
