is this just his nerves? Tinkerbell hasn't even been here a week yet, but Abbers is a siamese, and they are known to have nervous dispositions, I am just worried about him--would you take him to the vet right away?

It's possible that the new cat has brought along a health problem, but Abbers nerves might be on edge ,too. A sign of this could be excessive grooming and thus, more hairballs. You will be able to notice if this is the case by some quiet observation.
If his appetite is ok and his litter box habits are normal, this would be my guess. What do you normally do for hairballs? Do it some more. I put a dab of vasoline on their paws and they like it off and dose themselves. I like the anti- hairball treats but they are pricey.
If weight loss or other symptoms also occur, ask your vet's advice and take the new cat, too.

Yes, you should contact your vet. Also, I hope Tinkerbell doesn't have any diseases that Abbers might catch. Have you had Tink checked out for parasites and viruses yet? Always isolate a new cat and have it vet-checked before introducing it to your community house cats.

I think Tinkerbell's been slipping something in Abber's bowl....no, but seriously, I would get them both checked by the Vet ASAP. ( I agree with the first answerer).

Probably nothing to do with the new cat, directly. Check both for worms, also check Abbers for hairballs.

Definetly take your cat to the vet, actually take both. The vet can check on the new cat, and your other cat. The new cat is probable making your cat sick.

Yes! Your new cat can be a carrier of different problems.I would get both cats checked and has far as then not getting along that takes time.

Check to see if your newer cat is sneaking up behing the other and yoking him when no one is looking. Make sure your cat stills has his lunch money.
