Jesus always comes first. Live like Jesus.
But...Jesus was perfect. We're not.
Through Paul's letters we learn of a guy who, though he was a great missionary, and close to God, made mistakes and had trouble living out his faith, and wasn't afraid to let people know it. We can all identify with a guy like that.

I would say that some Christians focus more on Paul's teachngs than Jesus' teachings. This is because, in part, Paul's teachings are really the basis of much of what is perceived as modern evangelical Christian thought: both doctrinally and practically.
but I am quite sure that Jesus' life is more examined than Paul's life.
god bless

Part of the answer is that the Pauline epistles are the earliest writings in the New Testament, thus they're often considered, in a historical sense, to be the closest and most direct account of Jesus's teachings. The fact is that the version of Jesus presented in the New Testament is largely of Paul's making, and there's actually a good deal of scholarly and theological debate as to how much of Jesus's teachings were actually, in a sense, Paul's.

Paul witnessed to the truth that Jesus is God's son, he wrote most of the epistles in the new testament as testimony for Jesus...
it could be noted that because he used to kill the first century Christians but changed his view when he saw Jesus.
He was able to teach many people from many places.

I don't. I might focus on Paul's letters because he talks about how Christians should live. But nothing he says contradicts Jesus.
I mostly like the Bible as a whole. None of it contradicts itself and I don't understand why people say it does.

Paul's life focused on Jesus. Paul said, "I claim to know nothing but Jesus Christ and Him crucified."

I dunno--sad, isn't it? Nobody seems to want to focus on Jesus, they either focus on Paul or the old testament, and yet they call themselves CHRISTians
