My parents have owned a Bunn coffee maker since before I was born. They've had to replace a valve recently that the company sent them for free, but other than that, the machine has been chugging on for 20+ years. They run about $80-90 and are only sold at specific retailers - Sears, Kohl's, and Target are all on the list. Bunn.com/retail/products would be a good place to narrow your search.

For coffee, I like Cafe Bustello. Braun makes a good coffee maker.

I know people who swear by Braun, Bunn, and Cuisinart coffee makers.

Personally, I'd suggest trying out the Keurig system.
