I meet up with a guy i like quite often, we have done all of the usual shopping, cinema, ice skating, lunch...but what else could i do to make things fun ?? sensible answers only please :-) thanks x

Go to a comedy club, but don't sit down the front if you still don't know each other that well yet. They may pick on you. Ha ha.

With all due respect,I can't name anyone who brings up memorable moments about the last time they went shopping,skating,to the cinema etc. with someone they like. I think you've got to ramp it up a bit and go for the extraordinary.
How about a tandem parachute jump?
(Not necessarily attached to your friend).
If that's too extreme,just think outside of the box- instead of a restaurant lunch,why not bolt together a picnic and find somewhere with a bit of scenery- a local wildlife sanctuary or something, where you can interact with the local inhabitants and get some good photos. Check the local press for events like Ghost walks,guided tours,a night behind a telescope with a packed lunch and a beer. Try and find an experience that would be nice to share with someone. Anyone can shop.
It's a big world out there- go fetch!

How old are you? Do you really need us to tell you what to do. If so then ditch the poor guy as you must be bored to death otherwise you would not be asking.
Sorry to sound mean, but the world is your oyster. And there must be heaps of things to do. Find out whether he is into wildlife stuff and get out there and do some walking. I do not mean having sexual intercourse with him try other sorts of intercourse first. Like getting to know him.

well it honestly depends.
do you want to be romantic?
i would suggest that you drive somewhere and take a hike or star-gaze or even make dinner for him.
do you want to silly, fun, or crazy?
you should go to a zoo, plan a new years party, or stay up all night making a tent out of your boyfreind camo military clothes. i mean that what i would do. another fun thing is poker.

well you could ask him over and get some dvd's and cook something nice instead of going out into that cold weather...stay in and have fun and cozy up on the couch...it won't cost much either

bowling, rock climbing, walk at the beach or a park...go out of state, or get on a cruise...it can be expensive...
