If it flashed once you activated the cameras speed sensor if it flashed twice you are unlucky as it actually had an active camera inside. You are unofficially given a 10% + 2mph leeway, 10% of 30mph is 3mph +2mph = 35mph so you were 1mph over the unofficial leeway and will get a ticket, fine and 3 points.

I don't agree with the money-grabbing tactics of today's government and think that it is about revenue ratherthan safety. You should invest in a speed camera detector the one i would advise is the Origin Blue-i. However i also don't think you should really speed in a 30mph zone as it is usually a residential area, speeding is for motorways and clear country roads.

Serves you dazzling in case you get a cost ticket. Thats why speed limits are in place. I have been given flashed some 365 days in the past close to Stoke on Trent doing 40 in a 30. there have been no seen signs and indicators to declare the cut back had replaced. i'm going to have contested it yet then you incredibly might get executed for using with out due care and interest. whether the digital camera became into calibrated correct, 10% over 30 is barely 33, so doing 36, you haven't any-one responsible yet your self.

You will probably get a form in the post asking you to confirm that you were the driver (you were) and giving you the option of paying an £80 fine (or it may be more) plus 3 penalty points on your licence. This of course must be reported to your insurance company who will immediately increase your premium. If you do not tell them, you are in breach of your contract with them.
Of course, there may not have been film in the speed camera.
However, let this be a warning to you: 36mph is breaking the law and is dangerous. A child hit by a driver doing 35mph is likely to be killed, while a child hit by a driver doing 30mph will almost certainly survive.

hi if the speed limit was 30mph then you might not if it was lower then you might also it boils down to whether there was any film in the camera what ever the speed limit is they normally allow about 5-10mph over ive been stopped in the past driving 31mph in a 30 mph zone and just got told off the only thing you can do is to just wait and see what comes in the post good luck.

You may get away with it, your normally are allowed 2% of speed limit plus 4 mph i.e 30mph speed limit gives you 36mph plus 4mph means you should get away with 40mph.

If your unlucky Just a ticket in the post, no summons.

They will want £60 plus you will have to send your licence to have three points added. You may also have to produce your licence, insurance and MOT to local police station.

More bad news your insurance company will have to be notified and they may increase your premium (don't not do this because if you need to make a claim they won't pay).

Even if you get the fine, the points and increased insurance THINK YOURSELF LUCKY YOU DIDN'T KILL A KID.

if it is a 30 mph zone and you were doing more that 10% above the limit,- which you were- then YEAH, obviously you will get done.

That is , if there is any film in the camera. Last twice I got flashed, nothing happened.

Just obey the speed limit and then you won't have to worry about rubbish like this? You need to take responsibility for your own actions.

You won't get a summons, but a fixed penalty fine (in the UK anyway). Its £80, or £40 if you pay within 14 days, AND you will have to send your licence for 3 points to be added to it.

That is not legal here in Michigan. An officer must pull you over to give you a ticket. If I were you I'd contest it as illegal. Now about your case. If the Speed limit is 25 and you're doing 36 then Yes they will ticket you.

Maybe yes, maybe no. Not all cameras that flash actually have film in them, plus it's up to the discretion of whoever is monitoring it. You'll just need to sweat it out fora couple of weeks and see if something comes in. Unlikely you'll be asked to go to court though unless you contest it. More likely a fine and the 3 points.

What was the speed limit in the area? If it was 30 then yes you will get a fixed penalty fine and if it was 40 then you won't.
