"Cacao" is the raw bean from which "cocoa" (a processed product from the cacao bean) comes.
Drying or roasting, then grinding and seperating the products from the cacao bean gives us cocoa powder, cocoa butter, and other cocoa products. These can be made into chocolcates of various kinds.
Cacao is the bean, cocoa is the product from it.

cacao is the tree that cocoa beans are grown from! once the beans are roasted and cracked that is when they become cocoa. it is like baked cacao, cocoa is just that! they are not the same, but they are the same at one point in time, since they are one!

well cocoa is made out of cacao! cocoa is chocolate practically and chocolate is made out of cacao sothey are not the same
