A "Venus Flytrap" will digest almost any animal matter that gets deposited on it. If you have a "pet" Venus Flytrap, the easiest thing to feed it is dead flies, which you can probably find on the windowsills in your house, unless your parents are ultra-vigilant housekeepers.

Ants, though, are a favorite food of another carnivorous plant, the "Sundew Plant".

They will eat any insect or worm that gets inside their snare.

A bit of raw hamburger works well, too.

And fertilize the soil

Yes. They do eat small bugs. You can get them crickets at the pet store.
