Don't start anything before you have your baby. The first 'milk" you have is the best for your baby's immune system, its called Colostrum.

Colostrum is a yellowish liquid, esp. rich in immune factors, secreted by the mammary gland of female mammals a few days before and after the birth of their young.

Best pump to use is Melda Pump in-style

Good Luck and Congratulations on your baby.

Don't start until after you have your child. Because pumping is a form of nipple stimulation, it could possibly cause preterm labor (since nipple stimulation puts some women into labor).

Oh and I suggest Medela. The electronic one. Hand pumps are extremely aggrevating. Or you could get Avent brand too, from what I hear, they are good. But, I have only used Medela and a hand pump from The First Years brand (which I don't suggest... unless you are trying to be cheap, since they are only around 20 or 30 bucks).

you don't have any milk right now to pump. you won't get it until after you have delivered. what you have now is called colostrum. it's what the baby will eat until your milk has come in. i think the best pumps are medela, but other ones work just as well also. however, get one with a motor. hand pumping takes forever!
