I never dealt with the orange pack you talking about. But the one tip I can give is get yourself a tea kettle or pot of boiling water. Take this water and pour it over the the body of the bird before you throw it into the roasting pan. This will help with some of the greasyness of the duck. Pour the water thru the cavity and across the body of the bird and then cook it like normal like a turkey or chicken it all depends on the weight of the bird. The orange pack is just a seasoning that is up to you if you want to use.

Its slightly greater oily than chicken, and lots greater fatty! maximum scrumptious meat however! in case you have basically have been given breasts, and don't choose crispy fried duck (that's slightly complicated!!) then: score the exterior of the duck breast 4-5 circumstances. cook dinner epidermis edge down in a warm frying pan for 3-4 minutes. turn over and cook dinner for one million minute, pour off extra duck fat. cook dinner in a warm oven for 10 minutes. get rid of the duck from the oven enable it to chill out for about 10 minutes. wish that helps!

You wouldn't have to worry about the orange packet if you were the duck.
