I don't see any reason why it wont. It does not have much choice if an unfortunate ant gets into its trap. But if the ant is too small, the trap reopens and lets it out.
But Venus fly traps, just like other plants, gathers it food from air and minerals in soil. Only, since it usually grows in poor quality soil, it needs some insects to keep it healthy. Yeah I think they eat ants, and you can use small pieces of raw hamburger to feed them as well.
