i keep getting told different answers, but whats the best FREE file sharing site.
because limewire lows your computer and gives you viruses, and bearshare hasnt got a big amount of songs to choose from.

Maybe you should try BitTorrent or Kazaa?
You know, you're bound to get viruses if you download stuff illegally.

CHANGE YOUR LIMEWIRE SETTINGS - DO NOT USE THE DEFAULT MODE...
Limewire does not slow your computer if you change your settings on the Limewire program. There is a setting what gives you the option of closing down Limewire when you leave and an option of Limewire not starting automatically when you switch your computer on.
I used to have slow problems with my pc when I was using Limewire. Now I don't because my settings are NOT the default mode. Please try this - you have nothing to lose.
Also, you can't get viruses if you download music. Keep away from downloading programs on Limewire or anything else. Audio or video is safe.
I find Limewire better than anything else! Surely you have witnessed the millions of songs on Limewire so why change it to something which is not as near as good. You have the very best so keep it. You only need to check out the settings.

http://www.limewire.com/ is the most used free file sharing site. make sure you have anti virus running before swapping any files. the free edition of avg available from http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ does a good job. once you have installed limewire do a search for limewire pro. then install this and delete the original. pro is faster.

I use morpheous but they all give you viruses. If you arent running a virus checker by now you are insane.
They have an agreement to stop child porn, apparently any minute rescources they have are devoted to that. Sadly 4 out of every 5 files on any of them are viruses.
Yoiu might have to start payign for them
