When casting out demons is it necessary to call up the demon, and speak directly to him in order to cast it out? I know in the bible when Jesus casted out "legions"(many demons in one man) the possessed man approached Jesus and the demons begged Jesus to send them into the herd of swine.

This is something you must not mess with. Leave this to the experts and even the experts are just made up of flesh. And the flesh is weak and able to be consumed by the demons. If you're a christian, then you know that Jesus is the healer. Even if all the demons in hell come up against us that is only 1/3 whereas our army in heaven is 2/3. We are on the winning side. Remember that the Bible also says that if you do not walk the way, that each demon will return with 7 more. Leave this alone.

Ephesians has alot about this. Abouting putting on the whole armor of God, so as to withstand the evil day.

No, I wouldn't call up a demon. Lord knows there are enough of them around now as it is. And we don't all have the same power that Jesus did, to handle the situation.

I think of evil as more of a force. It's best to just be on our guard against it.

And pray. Also take action, like when you see evil actions which could have an impact on you or you're life, stay well clear of it.

Also, having love and a good spirit toward you're fellow man will make the devil flee far from you. That's not exactly how the verse goes, but I think that'll work to. Resist evil.

But if you see someone doing something evil, don't stick around and love em'! Just get away from em'!

You have to take the sword out, plus have on the rest of the armor. The sword is the spoken Word of God. Spoken in the anointing of the Spirit against the demons and comand them to leave the person & do this in the Authority & Name of the LORD Jesus Christ.

Jesus also told them (demons) where to go. We are to bind the demons with weights and throw them into the deep sea until judgment day. That is kind of what happened. The swine jumped into the sea.

Demons are only ONE SMALL PART OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE!

Don't believe all those CLAIMS, by supposed Christian Pastors that FALSELY CLAIN to cast out Demons!

IF you listen to them Alcohol and Drugs and Sex and On and On and On = ARE According to their False Doctrine = demons!

They are in Fact, WORKS OF THE FLESH! Perhaps you could read Romans, and Galations, and Jude = JUST FOR A START AND FIND out what = the works of the flesh are? ? ?

MOST Important, the Real Spiritual WARFARE, is best described in 2Corinthians 10:3-to-6. Take apart those verese, line by line, and word by word, and see what The Scripture Says?

You don't want to get into a conversation with a demon because they're just evil liars. When Paul cast the evil spirit out of the girl in the book of Acts who was following them around all he said was "come out of her in the name of Jesus." One of the reasons that the Jewish people were amazed when Jesus cast demons out of people who were mute was because they thought that you had to get the demon's name in order to cast it out. That's why some of the religious leaders claimed that Jesus did it by the power of Satan.

I know a Pastor from India named Zac Poonen who had a woman come to him because whenever people tried to lead her in prayer she would fall down. So Pastor Zac told her to sit in a chair and led her through the sinner's prayer and at the end of it he told her to tell Satan that she was no longer his slave because he had been defeated on a cross.

Her face and her voice changed and she/it said "I am not defeated!". So Pastor Zac realized she had a demon and said "You liar! You were defeated! Now come out of her in Jesus' name!" and the woman was delivered. He didn't waste time trying to ask the demon any questions.

Probably not, but he wanted them to see what was coming. Plus I'm sure the demons would feel it coming, like someone getting inside your head or punching you in the gut. You got some time there to plead with your attacker.

NO, I personally wouldn't want to see some stinky from the pit of hell demon and chat with him.
Bind him up in Jesus name, and throw him in seven different directions.

Your faith and belief is your best weapon, or your weakest link.
Christ said that if you have the faith the size of a mustard seed, anything you ask for or do in his name you will have, and more.
The warfare is called in when you have to discern if what others say is what God actually said.
I would remind you to obey Christ and not what others say when they try the " what he meant by that was" bit.
If Christ wanted it to be a parable, it would have been.
Otherwise, take what Christ said as fact, and leave the questions of doubt to those who wish to fight the truth.

I don't believe it is necessary. On a hunch I think if you are considering doing something like this, ask your God to do it for you or through you. You will feel more confident and safe.
