Okay, you admit you ran a red light. This caused an accident, which damaged another person's vehicle. And you wonder if he will "like ask my to pay or something?"
What do you think? You can expect your insurance to pay for the damage you caused to someone elses property. Your damage won't be covered unless you have full coverage insurance, and your towing fees won't be covered unless you have towing on your insurance.
You can also expect your insurance bill to go up since you now have an at fault accident on your record. If you got a ticket, you can also expect a court date and a fine there.

same thing happened to me some years ago. I got "Teed" when I pulled out in front of someone. The lady got out of her car and we were standing around joking and talking until the cops got there, both saying how lucky we were that no one got hurt, etc. Then once my insurance company got around to calling her, all of a sudden she was aching and paining everywhere... Lying ****... Anyway, my insurance company settled with her and paid her 20,000 dollars to keep the case out of court. If the person that hit you is a dishonest butthole, you can probably expect something similar. If not, maybe they'll settle for their car being fixed and a rental car in the meantime. In any case, your rates might rise, and there's a chance your carrier may drop you. Lots of insurance companies are acting like total scumbags these days when you make a claim. It's a sickening feeling, but know this - it seems a lot worse now than it will 6 months from now. It will be OK.

First you will likely be assigned an adjuster or team of adjusters from your insurance for your claim. They will call you and get a recorded statement from you and tell you what coverages are available for the accident (more on that in a second) and their liability determination for the claim.
Next, if they determine you are at fault (which they will in this case) they will cover all the other vehicles damage as well as put them in a rental- this is all at no out of pocket cost for you.
If you have collision coverage your vehicle will be covered as well but you will be responsible for the deductible. You will only get a rental if you have rental coverage on your policy.
If the other party claims injury your insurance will handle that as well (as long as the injury isnt so extenive that it goes over your bodily injury limits- sounds like your fine.)
The other insurance may as for a recorded statement from you as well- this is up to you whether or not you want to do it or not- they are just trying to determine liability as well.
So that is it- write down any questions you have and you can ask your adjuster when they call but they will walk you through this process.

First things first you ran the red light so you are responsible for damages to the other vehicle. If you have insurance go talk to them first. Do NOT talk to anyone other than Law Enforcement or you insurance agent about the accident. Insurance should take care of the damages to your car and the other (depending on your type of coverage) Hope this helps D

You have done all you need to right now. Your insurance company will investigate (although you're clearly at fault) and pay for the property damage and/or injury that resulted to the other party. Any contact you have with the other party should be referring him to your insurance if he calls you. They will handle this. If you have collision coverage then you can get your vehicle fixed. Your carrier will see the vehicle, do an estimate and pay for your damages less your deductible. I'm sure they'll explain everything to you when your examiner contacts you. Sorry for your bad luck!

If you have liability insurance you should be fine -- your company pays ALL costs to repair the other vehicle inc rental. If you also have collision coverage then your company will pay to have your car repaired or if costs to repair exceeds value they will delcare it a 'total loss'. You will be paid the actual cash value (ACV) of your vehicle, less your deductible, and it will be sent to a salvage facility. Hopefully you have these coverages and hopefully you have enough liability limits to pay for the other vehicle. So many morons now days only buy the minimum coverages (sometimes as little as $5,000.00) in order to save money. You can NEVER save enough in premiums to pay for a $60,000.00 Benz if tragedy strikes. Good luck.
