So I have a thing for this guy I used to work with. We still talk even thought he doesn't work there anymore, but I can't really tell if he's interested at all as anything more than friends. We're pretty good friends, but not like best friends or anything, and I want to tell him that I like him as more than a friend. But I don't want anything to be weird because I like being his friend, and don't want him to not talk to me. On top of it, I don't want to feel stupid if I tell him and he's not at all interested...So my question is do I tell him at all? And if so, what is a good way to tell him without making anything weird? Is there a way to make sure that we stay the friends we are even if this feeling is not mutual?

If you're scared of losing him as a friend, just take things one thing at a time. Start asking him on casual dates (friends can go to a movie and dinner, right!), double dates, or group dates. Basically, try to spend more time with him! If he enjoys it, he'll keep spending that time with you....if not, he'll back away.
If you're super gutsy, just take the risk and ask him if he's interested!
Just an idea!

No there isn't. You can't be friends if one of you has a crush on the other one. What you could do is have a mutual friend broach the subject with him.....then you will know if he likes you or not. As long as he doesn't know you like him you can be friends. Once he knows, if he doesn't feel the same way about you it will put too much strain on the relationship and make him uncomfortable.

If you are truly good friends, chances are he will still be friends if he doesnt have the same feelings. I would be worried about if you did get together and it didnt work out. But life is short, you never know until you say something. He could be the love of your life, or something you just need to do. Carpe Diem!

First thing is that I should tell him how you really feel about him. After you tell him if he likes date him, but if he gets freaked out then he is a jerk and you do not want those type of guys in a realtionship. E-mail at nonestopchick@yahoo.com if you have anymore questions. Good luck

Tell him just that. You want 2 be more than friends but if he does not want it, then you wont push anything and want 2 be friends.

During one of your conversations casually ask him if its possible that we might be more then just friends one day. He will get the clue, but if he says no it shouldn't be as weird as if you had told him you liked him.

Tell him that you have this "Friend" (not him) and explain the situation to him and ask for his advice, see what he says about the whole thing..... and go from there.
