I've had braces on for 10 months now. Lately, my left upper molar where there is a metal bracket surrounding the whole tooth starts to hurt or the nerves start to tingle (like a sensitive tooth) whenever I drink water, or eat anything a little too warm or cold. The whole tooth feels like it's squeezing my gum and it's unbearable until the pain passes. Can anyone explain this or experience this before?

Thanks. (Serious answers please)

Sounds like a cavity.

Why do you need a flipper on an upper 2nd molar, especially if you are trying to save it? Normally antibiotics provide relief in 24-36 hours, if not then you might consider a different antibiotic or an additional anti fungal. You might also try using an anti-inflammatory medicine like Motrin or Advil in addition to the T-3. I would follow up with your dentist for some more immediate relief, Jan 21 is a long way off. Good Luck.

See a dentist!

A "Toothache" can usually be referred to as pain that is felt around the teeth and or jaw. The cause of a toothache in most cases is by either problems with your jaw and or tooth. In most cases you (and I am talking from experience here) you would just leave it and wait for the pain to subside, but this isn't the correct thing to do.
