I have to confess I was always doing things like that when my son was younger! One which I did feel quite bad about after was when he left a toy hedgehog in a hospital waiting room and we couldn't find it when we went back to look. A few days later we were walking past the hospital and there was a squished hedgehog in the road, I said; 'OH NO, theres Roger! He must have been trying to find his way home!' The look on his face was hilarious but then I felt bad and told him it wasn't really. Also used to tell him that sleeping policemen were actual policemen buried under the road, ditto with cats eyes! Its not done him any harm though, he just has a good sense of humour now. Just because they are a child doesn't mean they won't appreciate a practical joke. I shouldn't pay too much attention to the people who are saying you're sick. If he watched it in the first place he must quite enjoy being scared! There's a big difference between being silly with your son and doing actual harm and as his mum you know yourself when he is likely to be irrevocably damaged by something and I'm sure you wouldn't even be considering it if you thought he would be. I would find that funny. Nothing wrong with a bit of silliness in a childs life - I had a long exchange with the tooth fairy once via letters under my pillow about the rate of inflation. She used to reply in teeny tiny writing telling me that inflation didn't exist in fairy land so I got the going rate for teeth!

I am not going to be as harsh as these other ppl because you kept changing the channel telling him not to watch it but he insisted so it is like you are teaching him how to obey but still this is the problem when it comes to the doll thing no don't do it because in child's play the dog can talk, and walk, and kill lol and so in the movie as you know the doll slept with the boy but he also was talking so if you that to him he is really going to think that the doll walked in there on his own. So that is not the best thing to do because of the fact he might be to scared to sleep and night then he will have you up all night. But again you are teaching him to obey for now on and now I bet he wont watch that again.

If you are trying to joke about something then go to the joke category. Of course everyone is going to say you do have a warped sense of humor when you ask this in the parenting section. I take children seriously and think it is wrong to expose them to violent, useless T.V. horror shows. Laughing at the expense of your child is immature.

The fact that your son was scared, means you should be trying to ease his fears, rather than cement them. If he is under the age of 14 you are going to make definate phsycological issues, by teasing him more. Putting a doll in his bed is extremely cruel! Making someone who is scared, especially a child, phobic is shocking! How you can gain any pleasure out of your son's fear is beyond me! Don't do it!

confident, they make it look undesirable on television, and that i think of it relatively is merciless however the individuals genially believe they have expertise and that they decide for to do it, yet for some human beings it relatively is going to be the worst factor they ever do, for some human beings the terrific. they have 2 bypass to the manufacturers first, and that they placed via truly undesirable human beings which will watch and save on observing! They bypass 2 far for my section. Simon isn't severe high quality yet that makes the X ingredient what it relatively is! I do watch it yet confident it relatively is merciless! think of two times previously happening the coach!

having a laugh at your child expense to you get your thrills or you notice has you a very sad individual and you may find that out on this site. Instilling fear when the world out there will do that well enough is wrong and will upset others who may tell you. Its good to have laughter and fun with our children but together with them not at them.

"Warped sense of humour" does not cover it!
You are one of those people who makes their kids hella sick just so you can cuddle them and make it seem like mom is the only one who can make it better right? When did they let you out of your padded cell and let you reproduce?
You need help and your son needs a chance at a real life with someone else.

Hey, don't listen to all these PC haters with no sense of humor, who are probably are so strict with their children.

I would do it, I think it's great and funny. Your son will probably laugh it off, anyway. The people above are being overly PC.

Have fun! ;D

if he's scared its a bit mean to tease him. even though you're a parent i bet you still get scared some times.

just remember you'll be the only person who will think its funny so don't go to far.

X
