im going to NY, and i want to go to empire state building but should i buy them ahead of time, or do you think i should buy them at the building? is their anything that i should buy ahead of time, like musical or ferry to the statue of liberty?

You can get half price tickets on the day of the show at TKTS which is temporarily located just outside the New York Marriott Marquis hotel on West 46th Street, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue. There is also one in lower Manhattan. The lines are less long at the latter one. Also, you can order on line (telecharge.com) and save the hassle. All the rest, you can get easily when you get there. I would recommend the top of the Rockefeller Center over the Empire State, the former has better view of the park and is a much nicer facility.

Once you're in NYC you can go to different places to sign up for city bus-tours (they are worth it...you can get off, go to a site you want to see, then get back on another bus later...check it out).

If you're interested in a certain musical then it might make sense to get those tickets ahead of time. You can also go to ticket booths 'tho to get discount tickets. Check out the sites below: And you can call Gray Line @: 1-800-669-0051
