I just started taking whey protein as soon as school started back in September. When I started taking it I got acne all up on my neck. Thus, I stopped for a while and waited for my skin to clear. Now in December I start taking it again and what do you know? The next day I wake up and have it again.

I did not have one outbreak until I started taking the whey again. I think that says something about it... What about you?

Yeah, I weight train. So that's why I was drinking it, but whatever. I would rather have clear skin. And TRUST ME I know about the water. I drink about 2 gallons a day. Same w/ vegetbales. I eat a lot of carrots. etc... as i said my skin is clear when I don't drink whey because I do all those things. but when I do drink it acne shows up OTHERWISE i am clear. So i think this says something about whey or at least protein. Which is high amounts can cause or lead to acne

One of the side effects of whey protein is that it increases the glutathione levels in serum (blood) and liver. When the glutathione level rises, the liver is better able to detoxify the body. Some people who have had highly toxic diets or have been exposed to high levels of environmental toxins may have a mild temporary reaction to the mobilized toxins as the liver is removing them from storage in body fat. This could be why you are breaking out. It might be your body detoxifying.

Why are you eating whey? For weight gaining/ training?

Try soy protein instead.
And get your veggies to clear your system.
Drink lots of water too.
