I agreed with you, the Bible and the god spoken of there is a man made sham. If the god spoken of in the Bible is God he should give man better info about his creation.
If the Bible is the word of God it should be absolute and no mortal would be able to prove it wrong, but since they are fallacies this has been the case for some time now up to a point that, the Bible is not a book that anybody takes seriously except demagogues, schizophrenics and charlatans.
For example: its not true the word was created in seven days on less we find a different meaning for the word days; its not true the world is only a few thousands years old; its not true the first men an women were Jewish if there was ever such a thing as a first men and a first women; and most of all, its hard to swallow the notion that Jewish are the chosen people from God if there is a God, the merits for such a high privilege has yet to be explain.
But the real truth of the matter is that the Bible is a primitive view of the world prepared by a very primitive people, if it has any moral lessons to be extracted from it they should be analyzed by theirs own merits.
The whole book is a fairy tale. I should add one more thing and that is, when a person don't have any good argument or a prove for the reality and values of his opinions, he or she has no choice but to say they come from this or that god and that they should be accepted with no questions asked. I think this position is very arrogant and very stupid.

An all powerful God can do what ever He likes. He does not have to answer to anyone. He does not have to meet with anyone's approval. He can judge, whether or not you think His judgment is just. Thankfully, God is not only just and holy, but He chooses to love us
You are errant in your belief that the Bible was written by human beings. Although men penned the Bible, it is God's inspired word. I am using a computer to write down my thoughts; however, it is not the computer that places my thoughts into words and sentences - it is me.
The Bible is filled with prophesies - all of which are 100 per cent accurate. You choose not to believe, that is your decision; however, it's validity is not diminished by your unbelief. Your assumption that people would come around to your way of thinking if we'd only open up our minds to the possibility that the Bible is not true is flawed. Although the Bible is our greatest resource (next to God Himself) on Christianity, it is not our only resource. Acceptance of God's free gift of salvation (becoming a Christian) is an experience that changes a person - a change so profound, that unless you have had the experience, you cannot understand it. God shows Himself and lives within you - you cannot doubt His existence, His truth, His love.

Dear Mr. Legend-
First of all God is a righteous judge. So if we are going to be judged (and we will be on Judgment Day) wouldn't you rather be judged by one who is just and true? I would.
The point that you are missing here is that of sin.
Let's assume for my argument's sake that God is real. Here is the deal:
man sins
the punishment for sin is eternal separation from God
God sent His Son Jesus to pay for the penalty
those who believe and follow Jesus are eternally separated from God
Secondly there is no sham, man. In light of prophecy, which I have studied extensively, mere man could not have "written" the bible.
Mere men did pen the Words of God. All scripture is God-breathed, which means that by divine inspiration, mere mortals were able to put on paper what God desired for them to write. Men on their own would certainly mess it up.
Legend, man, have you ever studied bible prophecy? Did you now that all of the prophecy that has been fulfilled to date has been 100% accurate? How can anyone in their right mind argue that man wrote that.
That the message of the bible is harmonious from Genesis to Revelation is statistically impossible for mortals. The bible was written over an approximately 1600 years, by about 40 divinely inspired people from all walks of life. Yet the central message is there and the central message is Salvation. Salvation through Jesus. Did you know that He was prophesied about in the Old Testament over 300 times.
Wake up. Study the bible for yourself. Then ask questions and check answers in the Word of God.

Just so you know, I didn't say they COULDN'T answer. I said there was no need to feel OBLIGATED to answer. There is a difference.
Maybe if you were to actually get an understandable version of it and read it you would begin to understand. But then you are obviously closed minded about it so why would you want to expand your thoughts to allow for anything that you can't understand?
I have investigated wholeheartedly many belief systems other than Christianity and find that it just isn't usually what people think it is because they have not checked into it themselves, they have only adopted the thoughts of others around them. You wake up and become an individual who doesn't just go along with whatever sounds easy. It sounds easier to me to believe in no God but I'm not willing to go back to that.
I do have to agree that religion is a sham but that does not mean that God did it - contrary to the popular belief that we want to fall back on the easy answer of "God did it" so now what?

That's what I think to. I believe religion is totally different than belief.. Religions are babtist, catholic, mormons, pentecostle ..... you get the idea. Christianity on the other hand is belief, because people of all the different religions claim to be christians yet believe differently and worship differrently and practice different rituals. That's where non-denominational comes in, people that do not claim to be of religion but rather christian belief. That's why there is so much confusion and disbelief about God because of religion. The bible talks about the seven churches each by where it is located not what kind it is.. Also the day of pentecost, John the babtist, see where I'm going with this. The bible says we are to become Christlike and of ONE sound mind and that is the mind of christ.. Sounds like to me if religion is going to be categorized christians would fall under "THE CHURCH OF CHRIST"

Religion is a man made thing. It was started by the need to explain things that the technology of that time could not explain. Now it explains the creation of the universe, the creation of all living things, and set guidelines by which humans should behave. In the past it explained things technology now can explain, like the sun, night, weather, and natural disasters.

i believe that religion has been made by mankind. and that the bible (wether it was written by someone close to god or not) , was re-written and changed over time to suit the society that presently held it for use of controll over there people.
God is not fear, god is love .
"perfect love casts out fear"
i know, that God is an ultimate accepting spirit. With No judgements.
there is not one religion that i follow.
The one thing I do , is the golden rule of "treat others the way you wish to be treated"
and if they do not treat you so, then walk away.
people will see what they choose to see.
just as god is, we are observers.
when one decides to focus on somthing, they see it, when they change there focus, they see somthing else.
Eventually, everyone will see that there is no real hell. That God is a source of Home, that has door s always open.
And its "heaven" because the only one's who enter it, are the one's whom has decided to focus on the light of truth, wich is love.
While other's , keep choosing to create worlds around them that reflect what they choose to understand.

Goes does exist. The scriptures does not say that there is God! It proved the existence of the Holy God.
( Romans 1:20-22 "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools)
The Scriptures was not the invention of mortal men, they are words dictated to holy man of God, written through the inspiration of the holy spirit.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."
Religion is the only things that man ever created to proved that there is God. However, the scriptures says otherwise, God does exist.
Religion is a formation of rules and regulations and beliefs invented by man through logic that would please God.
However, God set rules and regulation through his words that was passed from generation to generation as to how he is going to be worship, and that is "IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH"

that's an age previous question that we could or could on no account understand even after loss of existence we could on no account understand. in accordance to technology, and Athiests, He does not exist. in accordance to religious types and human beings with faith, He does exist. in accordance to Agnostics, He could or won't exist. yet now back to the beginning up, if He does exist, possibly sooner or later he will tutor himself or enable Himself oftentimes used to the human beings, or interior the Afterlife, because of the fact the Doctrine states, in case you're good then you incredibly would be allowed in Heaven while God lives. besides the fact that it is likewise obtainable that there won't be an Afterlife yet He nonetheless does exist for us to on no account understand in any respect. Then there is likewise the perception that He does not in any respect exist nor does Heaven exist, that's the Athiest perception of what God is. For myself in my view, i don't think of i've got confidence in Heaven, as much as i might genuinely prefer to, there is purely not something in my concepts which will enable me have confidence that Heaven exists and there are Angels with white robes and peace for all something of your submit existence in the international time. besides the fact that, I do have confidence there's a God, not the God that's in photos with the white gown, long beard, halo, and each thing else, yet some form of better entity that we don't understand approximately and could on no account understand approximately, yet i've got confidence there ought to be some thing accessible that's greater effectual than something, some entity that rather in all different words is...God.

We park our cars in the same garage on this issue. To me, it is the biggest mystery of the human psyche that oterwise rational, educated, logical people can throw their logic away when it comes to religion, and actually think that all those Old Testement miracles actually occured. Garden of Eden? Parting of Red Sea? Sun standing still? God giving Moses 10 Commandments? Please. I consider belief in these things, along with Jesus being God, to be a form of neurosis. And sometimes of flat out psychosis. Face it people: those were myths and symbolism used to convey a message; theBible was written by dozens of mortals over hundreds of years; Jesus was simply a great moral teacher.
And the reference book of Psychiatry, the DSM-IV, officiially lists "Religious Obesession" as a psychiatric disorder.
