I don't think anyone has purposely spiral-curled their hair since 1989 and anyway you can't curl anything with a flat-iron. You might be able to bend it a bit, but you won't get a spiral curl.

First use a heat protection spray/gel

Starting from the root, use the iron as if you were straightening, but instead of letting the iron run down your hair, turn the irons in towards you quickly.

This only works if you're fast enough, or else you either get kinks in your hair or burn your fingers.
as everyone else said, you're better off getting curling tongs, love.

You have to rotate the hair inside of the straightener, 360 degrees. slide it downward and you are done.
I highly recommend the karmin titanium since it's a 1 inch straightener and trustworthy

put your hair in the straightner like your going to straighten it and turn it to the side and then continue to do so in a circle all the way down. if your straightnener is more than like an inch wide itd probably be really hard to do though.
