Anorexic Stars?

Question

If anorexia is such a dangerous illness, then why aren't more stars dying? So many of them are deathly thin and have tons of energy.

Have you not heard of Karen Carpenter or how about the two models that recently died within 3 months of each other from Anorexia. I'm sure it won't be long until we hear about someone else.

Do we really need to see someone else die, for people to actually take notice that Anorexia is an extremely dangerous and life threatening disorder? Or do people just want to continue denying this fact, as some kind of justification that it is okay to be severely underweight and barely functioning?

I doubt they have tonnes of energy, they are probably using various supplements and other means to keep their energy up. HTH : )

The ones I know of have always had to check themselves into a hospital for help with this. Sure the body can live without food for quite a long time, but they won't have tons of energy and they look unhealthy. Think of anorexia, and running the body without food like running a car without the proper amount of oil. Sure, the car still runs for a while, but the lack of lubrication is damaging and wearing out the motor of the car and soon you will have a big, big problem.

Lindsay Lohan keeps falling down and breaking bones. I think they've gotten good at barely keeping themselves alive, but these are not people who will be living into their 80's.

Who says they didn't die? Karen Carpenter died, and Nicole Richie will if she doesn't eat right now.
