I bleached my hair so that the color I put in it would turn brighter (abnormal punk colors).

Now it is growing out, and there are still remains of the old color in my hair.
I want to Bleach the roots again, and get rid of the color.

Is it safe to Re-bleach the already bleached areas to get rid of the color? If not, how should I go about bleaching the roots, and getting rid of the color?

I have my mom do this at home, she's good at this and I'm not worried about that, but I just don't want any 'go to the salon' answers, please.

no it isn't safe.
overlapping the applications will only create more damage and possibly breakage (not good).
go to sally's beauty and get a bowl and brush and apply with the brush (if you don't already) the brush gives your mom more control of where the retouch of bleach gets applied.
if you already apply with the bowl and brush then your good.
depending on the color that is left in your hair, you might be able to get away with using a toner.
these are great for toning down brassiness or giving ashy hair a warmer tone (ask the girl at the beauty supply what would be better for your hair)
if all else fails you have to go to the salon because we know how to fix it.
i know you didn't want to hear that but last resort if you are not getting the results you want then just go in for a color consultation (free) have the person tell you what would work best for you

no, i wouldn't re-bleach the color out. you can buy color stripping shampoos at beauty supply stores. you can bleach the roots no problem though.
