Make sure you go to a hairdresser that has dealt with thin hair alot. I have thin hair and I wanted layers so I told my hairdresser. She said if she put in too many short layers it would make my hair look scraggly so she recommended the shortest layer starting at chin length and just one or two more very subtle layers. (my hair is 2 inches past shoulder length) It's kinda a Rachel haircut (Friends) the top flips under and the bottom flips out. It makes my hair look really full and gives it style. Rather than the flat/straight look I have had to sport my whole life.

okay, if you are worried, then only get the very bottom of your hair layered, dont get a bunch. that way you can see what affect it has on your hair, and decide if you like it or not. i think that depending on how your hairstylist cuts your layers, they could either make your hair look thinner or fuller. find a picture of how you want your layers done, and take that with you when you go to your hair stylist and discuss whether that will work with your hair.

i have pretty thin hair, and i got it layered yesterday. it looks fantastic! it wont make it look thinner, but get long layers. if you comb or brush it and then comb it from under with your fingers, it looks pretty thick. dont get too many layers, but im sure you will look great. and the beauty of hair is that if you cut it and it doesnt look good, it grows back! so dont worry. try it!
p.s. use sunsilk anti-flat creme with your layers. it makes your hair fuller and more volume

Layering helps fine hair to look more voluminous, but thin hair should be long and put up, o like my mom cut short and wear a wig. You could have several and change them around to suit your mood or outfit.

i have thin hair and i have had layers i just finished getting rid of them tho. thank god! it made my hair look even thinner but if u really want layers try extensions or something but make sure they are real human hair tho. they are more expensive but u can style them like ur normal hair. cheaper ones are usually plastic and will melt ruining ur hair and ur straightener/curling iron etc
