Are you afraid not to?

Yeah, I was really just asking a random question so that I could teach my friend how to search for a question on Y!A. Few of you said anything real logical though. A couple of you did.

Can a person look at the world, at the stars and the universe and say that God does not exist?

Can a person image that his life has any meaning when it results in only death and nothingness?

Can we speak of human rights, dignity and personal worth when these things are only illusions?

Can something or anything be morally right or wrong if there is no author of proper behavior?

If every human organization incorporates some form of deity does this not mean that humans are designed to seek after God?

Why then should a non-believer assume that he or she is superior to those who believe?

I believe in God and I am a devout pagan.

Occam's Razor sums it up quite nicely.

It is easier to believe in a Creator than to believe all of this is just an accident.

Occan's Razor says the easiest answer is usually the right one.

God is the source of all things, He created man, and man must reciprocate by knowing his Holy sovereign creator.

ROMANS chapter 1, up to the following verses ...

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Thank you for your Question, BUT, As I Christian, 'I do not feel that I have to believe in GOD = I KNOW I WANT TO!"

(Luke 7:40-to-43) And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.

(Luke 7:41) There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.

(Luke 7:42) And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

(Luke 7:43) Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.

Thanks, RR

Its about having a firm hold on the obvious.
If you and I were traveling through the jungle and we happened upon a beautiful mansion, with ornate lawns all around ....and you asked me:
"Who made this?"
If I replied:
'Nobody, it just got here by itself."
Would you trust my sanity?
Even if you never saw the one who built that mansion, you would always believe it was built by someone.

We believe in God because we believe that it is foolish not to.
Am I afraid not to? No, I just do because believing in God is a natural. God instilled in us the ability to look around and know that he exists.
