Im a freshman in Highschool. But id like to get into a IV leauge school, and i want to start thinking about it now. The grades are no problem, i can do that, but someone told me i should take a honors class, to get a 4.5. What sort of clubs should i get involved in. What types of sports if any?

Someone who will make them proud. Anything that you can do to prove that you work hard, play well with others and are on a leadership path with all go well in your favor. The Chess Club is a good idea. Sports of all kinds is a good idea. Community service or volunteer work looks great on a college application. Any kind of internship that you can do in your chosen field. Honors classes - particularly early in your high school - show a college that you are on the college track for a long time and you are dedicated to succeeding.

Peace!

They look for things outside of the classromm. Athletics, acting, student counsil all work well, but also volunteer work and things done for the community

high gpa, high test score, extracurricular (this shouldn't matter too much on what it is, just do something you like)

EDIT: make sure you take the most challenging courses your school offers too
