Pecan Pie

"Unlike most pecan pies, this one does not require corn syrup."
Original recipe yield: 1 - 9 inch pie.

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, beat eggs until foamy, and stir in melted butter. Stir in the brown sugar, white sugar and the flour; mix well. Last add the milk, vanilla and nuts.
Pour into an unbaked 9-in pie shell. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes at 400 degrees, then reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until done.

I think that you may like this recipe; after all it comes from the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, Alabama also this is called the Marriott's Grand Hotel, one of the South's most famous resorts, it is located on Mobile Bay..Here is the recipe>>>> CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE>>>>1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons of brown sugar>>3/4 cup granulated sugar>>2 tablespoons cake flour>>1/8 teaspoon salt>>1 ounce butter melted>>4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, melted>>4 eggs>>1 cup pecans chopped>>1 deep 9 inch pie shell>>>>>Combine dry ingredients , stirring to eliminate lumps>>Add butter and melted chocolate slowly and blend thoroughly with mixer >>Beat in eggs.>>Let stand for 3 hours( after resting it may separate)>>Stir the mixture, Place the pecans pieces in the unbaked pie shell.>>Fill with chocolate mixture and bake at a 325* oven for about 50-55 minutes or until firm...If the pie starts to crack, lower the temperature until finished baking..Serves 8........If you are as picky as you say that you are then you know that you must follow this recipe to a tee to achieve the correct results.......Good Luck and Merry Christmas =)

3 eggs
1 cup corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups pecan halves
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter (melted)
pie crusts

Beat eggs lightly with an electric mixer or fork until combined.
Stir in corn syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla extract.
Stir well.
Stir in pecan halves and pour filling into crust.
Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven, for 45 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
Tip: Cover edge of pie crust with aluminun foil for first 25 minutes of bake time, then remove for remaining 20 minutes, to prevent the crust from burning.

Think it a good idea to spell it correctly first. Pecan Pie.

Finely chop 100g of pecans.
Put 8 to 12 Snax biscuits in a bowl and crush
Mix in the nuts.
Whip 2 egg whites till firm with tablespoon of sugar.
Gently mix all together and put in a well greased tin.
Bake at 190 for about 20 mins till slightly brown on top.
Remove from oven and when cool whip some cream and decorate top and place a few whole pecans around.
